Frequently asked questions about tyrepas.eu

What do you do with my data?

What you enter remains yours. You can download everything we have from you in one go at any time -- that's under Settings in your account, and you'll receive a zip file with your data. You can also delete it, and then it's really gone. The privacy statement describes what we store for each type of data and how long we keep it.

Do I need an account to get started?

No. You can use the free check without an account and without an email address; the result appears on screen immediately and gets its own address that you can save. You only need an account if you want to keep your answers on file and be tracked.

Can I cancel monthly?

Yes. There is no notice period and no minimum term. What you have built up so far, you can take with you when you cancel via the same download.

Is this advice?

No. We explain what applies and what is expected of you, including the source. An assessment of your own situation is not -- for that you should consult an adviser or contact the authority responsible.

Is your question not listed? Feel free to ask it — you'll get an answer from a person.

How long does it take for my tyre data to be in the system?

This depends on your supplier or tyre shops. With some partners this happens automatically, with others it takes a few working days. Once the data has been entered, you will receive a confirmation.

Can I create a tyrepas for used tyres?

Yes, but only if you have the original product data. For used tyres the system is less suitable, because tyre conditions must be documented and this is not recorded automatically.

What happens if I don't enter my tyre data?

You can, but then you'll miss out on the benefits of the product passport. It is especially helpful for inspections, maintenance and when reselling vehicles. Many garages and dealers find it increasingly important.

Can I share my tyrepas with others?

Yes, you can share the passport with others – for example with a garage or the next owner. The system provides secure options for this.

Are there any costs involved?

Usually not for private individuals. Some tyre suppliers build this into their service, others pass on small costs. This varies by company.

How does tyrepas contribute to safety?

By recording all tyre data – wear, repair work, manufacturing date – you can better determine when replacement is needed. This prevents unsafe situations due to poor tyre conditions.
